By using RETAILS.co.za, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read these terms carefully before accessing or using the platform.
1. Role of RETAILS.co.za
RETAILS.co.za operates as a platform provider, offering a digital marketplace where independent vendors can list and sell their products and services. We do not directly sell or ship any products, nor do we endorse or guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of any vendor listings.
2. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors are independent entities using RETAILS.co.za to reach customers. Vendors are solely responsible for:
- Product Listings: Vendors must provide accurate descriptions, images, prices, and other relevant details for the products or services they sell.
- Inventory and Pricing: Vendors are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and setting competitive pricing.
- Order Fulfillment: Vendors must process and ship orders in a timely manner, ensuring the customer receives their products within the promised timeframe.
- Shipping & Delivery: Vendors are solely responsible for the shipping and delivery of their products. They must provide customers with shipping options, set shipping costs, and update tracking details where applicable.
- Customer Service: Vendors are responsible for handling customer inquiries, returns, and refunds based on their individual return policies.
- Compliance with Laws: Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, product safety, and tax regulations in the regions they sell to.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers using RETAILS.co.za are responsible for:
- Providing Accurate Information: Customers must provide accurate shipping, payment, and contact information when making purchases.
- Reading Listings: Customers are expected to carefully review the vendor’s product descriptions, shipping policies, and return conditions before making a purchase.
- Communicating with Vendors: Any issues related to the product, such as delivery delays, product discrepancies, or returns, must be handled directly with the vendor. RETAILS.co.za facilitates communication but is not involved in individual transactions.
4. RETAILS.co.za’s Limited Liability
As a platform provider, RETAILS.co.za is not liable for:
- Product Issues: We are not responsible for product quality, safety, legality, or compliance with descriptions. Any disputes about product defects, incorrect items, or damaged goods must be resolved directly between the customer and the vendor.
- Shipping and Delivery: Vendors are responsible for shipping and delivery. Any delays, lost packages, or shipping errors are outside RETAILS.co.za’s control and must be addressed with the vendor.
- Transaction Disputes: While we may assist in mediating disputes, we are not responsible for resolving disputes between vendors and customers related to product issues, returns, or refunds.
5. Subscription and Fees
- Vendor Subscription Fee: Vendors are required to pay a subscription fee of R250 per month to list their products on RETAILS.co.za. All transaction fees are ex. VAT.
- Commission on Sales: RETAILS.co.za charges a 7% commission on each sale made through the platform. All transaction fees are ex. VAT.
- Paid Promotions: Vendors may opt to pay for additional services such as featured product listings, banner ads, or social media promotions.
6. Payment Terms
- Secure Payments: All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways – Payfast. RETAILS.co.za does not store customer payment details.
- Vendor Earnings: Vendors receive payment for sales made on the platform after deducting applicable commissions and fees.
7. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited on RETAILS.co.za:
- Listing illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited products.
- Providing false or misleading information in product listings.
- Engaging in fraudulent activities or attempting to defraud customers or vendors.
8. Termination of Accounts
RETAILS.co.za reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms of Use or engages in prohibited activities.
9. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted will indicate acceptance of the new terms.
